PIZZA created from fresh dough and then topped with traditional Italian favourites is hitting all the right spots for The Piazza, Wellingborough’s latest pizzeria.

Ash Khatiri and his team have a passion for creating pizzas and other dishes that celebrate the true taste of Italy. Each day, at the shop in Cambridge Street in Wellingborough, the fresh dough is transformed into mouthwatering creations which are ideal for businesses looking to offer something different to their teams.

Ash is following in the footsteps of his father, Paul, who spent more than 25 years building the family’s enviable reputation for creating good Italian-inspired food. Fresh ingredients are sourced from local businesses including Whites Nurseries based in Earls Barton.

Now Ash has taken on the challenge and is bringing together the family’s strong traditional values with a contemporary twist.

Customers can order from an extensive menu, which includes favourites like Americano and Formaggi. Pizzas with a twist include Jamrock which boasts roasted chicken and peppers, red onion, mozzarella and jerk sauce and The Greek which is loaded with pepperoni, black olives, red onion, fresh tomato and halloumi.

The pizza bases include calzone and the popular crispy Italian, deep pan and stuffed crust with cheese or cheese, garlic and herb.

The freshly made salads with black olives and mozzarella are fast becoming a favourite.

Ash said: “I spent many years working alongside my father in the family business and I want to maintain his high standards but appeal to today’s tastes. We still use the fresh dough and ingredients that are true to Italian values. I hope that once someone has tasted one of our pizzas they will understand the difference from others available on the market.

“We take real pride in using the freshest of ingredients and each morning we are in the shop preparing the dough, which makes all the difference.”
