Uplifting start to the year

TO ensure that their customers can make the most of the extended range of specialist equipment they can supply, local business Hitec Lift Trucks have expanded their dedicated training division to provide everything from forklift refresher training to in-depth manual handling qualifications.

2018 saw the Wellingborough-based company became a part of materials handling giant Briggs Equipment. As a result, Hitec now represent and supply well-known equipment brand Hyster, further extending the broad range of machines they have available. Embracing the opportunity for growth, Hitec have also recruited a new regional sales executive, Simon Howes, and plan to continue to expand over the coming months.

One of the leading forklift and materials handling equipment dealerships in the region, Hitec can provide niche access platform and lifting equipment, which is available for sale or hire, either on a long or short-term basis. This makes Hitec the perfect solution for any urgent need for extra or specialist machinery, whether during a busy period or for a specific project.

To help customers take full advantage of the equipment available, Hitec’s training division offers courses in forklift driving, IPAF, Pasma, driver CPC, first aid, gantry crane, manual handling, and Hiab, as well as forklift instructor courses.

So that customers can get the training they need, until 31 March 2019, Hitec are currently offering five days training for the price of four.

Managing Director, Prospero Girardi, is proud of the new developments in the company. He said: “Hyster is a new brand for us and includes machines we think our customers will appreciate having access to, whether on a long-term basis or just to cope with a specialist project or to provide cover in busy times. We’ve listened to feedback from our customers and know that if they’re going to make full use of the new range, they need their training to be tailored to them and kept up to date and that is what our new training division is dedicated to doing.

“It’s all about giving our customers the best possible service and making sure their needs are met.”
