A reputation for training

WILSON Browne Solicitors has shown again what makes them Northamptonshire Law Society Large Law Firm of The Year with the appointment of a further two new trainee solicitors. The firm’s investment in its future, through developing people and skills is something it is renowned for.

Chloe Doggett and Marianne Stapleton have commenced their formal training with the firm, and aim to qualify into one of the commercial teams that offer a broad spectrum of advice including employment, company commercial, commercial property and commercial litigation/professional negligence.

Human Resources Partner Kevin Rogers said: “I am really proud of the continued growth of our in-house training scheme. At our awards ceremony in November, we boasted 16 members of staff working towards formal qualifications, to become a solicitor, legal executive or licensed conveyancer. We also saw our first apprentice in a non-legal role join us in 2015.

“Since then, I am really pleased to confirm that Emma Oliver has qualified as a solicitor and joined the Housing and Commercial Property Teams.

“In 2016 we will see even more lawyers qualify into their respective teams, providing valuable advice to their clients and many of our new lawyers and trainees join teams recognised by the Legal 500, the who’s who of lawyers. It’s going to be another fantastic year for training opportunities and I am really proud to say that many of those training, have supported our initiatives to visit local schools to help to inspire the next generation of lawyers. As our business grows, so does our reputation for being an excellent training institution, and with eight current and former partners in the firm having trained here the sky really is the limit.”

Kevin’s view of the firm’s reputation is one evidenced by the number of pupils and parents that sought the firm out at recent careers days and evenings, aware (amongst other things) of the firm’s commitment to training and developing.
