Gaining national recognition

September has certainly been a month for celebrations at law firm Wilson Browne.

As well as welcoming a new Head of Corporate and Commercial (law) on board from a rival, two of the firm’s hottest rising stars were shortlisted for Young Lawyer of the Year by the Northamptonshire Law Society, with the prize eventually going to Wilson Browne’s Lisa Franklin.

The icing on the cake is recognition by The Legal 500, a Who’s Who of leading figures in the world of law – a client’s guide to choosing the right lawyer.

A listing for an individual or team is based on merit, and supported by extensive research and interviews, backed-up with feedback and testimonials from clients. A significant number of Wilson Browne teams have beaten off stiff competition in the East Midlands area to gain recognition for their hard work and expertise:

* The Family Team (covering such areas as divorce or breakdown of a relationship, children and mediation) achieved an excellent result with both Ed Rawlins and Heather Davies receiving special mention.

* In Private Client (work for individuals particularly in the area of wills, trust and estates and managing wealth and assets) we were rated above other local competition, with Jane Forsyth, Paul Richards and Jim Kearns all being “highly recommended”.

* The Personal Injury/ Clinical Negligence team were recognised with specific mention of Louise Tyler and her AvMa (Action Against Medical Accidents) panel appointment

* For expertise in social housing, Wilson Browne was one of only six in the East Midlands to get a mention.

As well as being cause for celebration, the recognition by The Legal 500 is validation of the firm’s expertise and commitment to delivering high standards to its clients.

Further information about the firm and its areas of expertise can be found on the website www.wilsonbrowne.co.uk
