Promoting from within

WILSON Browne Solicitors continues its strong track record of promoting from within.

This year saw a number of solicitors advance to the position of Associate, a position that recognises not just the quality of their legal advice, but an equally strong desire to deliver great client service.

Senior Partner Ed Rawlins said: “I am tremendously proud to confirm publicly, that David Farmer, Emma Oliver, Carol Marshall and Hannah Furr have been appointed as Associates. In recent years we have sought to encourage people to realise their potential in differing areas of work (within the firm) and that has included those who want to take a more active role in the business and to undertake further training and development.

“A number of our team are completing additional studies alongside their normal working responsibilities, and achieving high standards in demanding qualifications. I know myself that studying whist working is challenging – their achievements will hopefully spur on others to fulfil their own potential.”

* David Farmer joined the firm in May 2105 as a solicitor working in the Commercial Litigation team.

* Emma Oliver was initially a paralegal in the Housing Team from March 2013, qualifying as a solicitor in December 2015 and is now working in both the Housing and Commercial Property Teams.

* Carol Marshall was the cashier at the Corby office in January 1998, becoming a Trainee Legal Executive in the Family Team in September 2005, before moving to the Private Client Team and in April 2011 becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

* Hannah Furr came to the firm in April 2016 as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives working with the Private Client Team in Northampton, having become a member of the Society of Trusts & Estate Practitioners in November 2013.
