Robert Starr

Housing and care provider Anchor has appointed regional law firm Howes Percival to its legal panel.

The firm, with offices in Northampton and Milton Keynes, joins fellow firms Gowling WLG, Capsticks, Devonshires, Freeths, Trowers & Hamlins and Walker Morris. The panel will run for an initial period of three years and provide full service legal advice.

Anchor is England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for people in later life and serves more than 65,000 residents in 54,000 care homes across almost 1,700 locations.

Emma Costello, Anchor’s head of legal, said: “We have secured a new legal services panel with sector-leading advisers supporting us operationally as well as assisting in the delivery of our progressive growth programme to continue to provide homes where people love living in later life.”

Howes Percival partner Robert Starr said: “Our healthcare team has a particular strength in working with businesses in the care industry and this panel appointment is testament to our expertise in this area. We are excited to build on this and work with the other panel firms to support Anchor in achieving its future goals.”
