‘Tomorrow’s lawyer is our future’

Kevin Rogers

A long-term strategy to develop its own lawyers of the future is paying dividends for Northamptonshire law firm Wilson Browne Solicitors.

The firm’s commercial law department has welcomed seven new arrivals at various levels of expertise.

Chairman Kevin Rogers said: “We know that tomorrow’s lawyer is our future and genuinely embrace that.”

Corporate and commercial paralegal Hasin Ali is due to start his training contract with the firm in May, following Catherine Healy who joined in November as the firm’s first trainee solicitor under the Solicitors Qualifying Examination, a new alternative route into a law career.

Anna Prozherina, an accredited civil commercial mediator and a qualified overseas lawyer, has joined the commercial property team along with Kawaljit Singh, who started her training contract to become a solicitor in November after joining the firm in 2018.

Emily Griffiths is working in the commercial litigation team while she completes her final stage of training and Hazel Taylor has begun paralegal training with CILEX, having worked for Wilson Browne as a legal secretary for six years.

Matt Gausden-Walker has also joined, as new enquiries team manager.

Mr Rogers said: “The strength in depth and straightforward approach of our commercial law team is the reason that our clients not only come back to us but recommend us time after time.”
