£1m investment boosts capacity for logistics firm

Logistics firm KNP has unveiled an investment of more than £1 million in its vehicle fleet.

The firm has taken delivery of 35 SDC Freespan trailers to join its fleet of more than 300 trailers. A total 30 of the trailers are liveried KNP, part of the Knights of Old Group, and five with customer own branding. Each trailer has the latest load strapping safety systems and are compliant with the latest safety standards.

Knights of Old Group director Paul Abbott said: “Despite the high demand for new trailers and ongoing labour and materials shortages, with direct control over every stage of their manufacturing process, SDC delivered all KNP Group trailer builds to schedule.”

The company has worked with SDC for 17 years and have taken delivery of more than 500 trailers. SDC director Paul Bratton said: “We continue to work with KOO and endeavour to build trailers to suit the many contracts and operations. We value the loyalty and custom that has been shown to our products over this long standing relationship.’’
