A LOCAL experienced construction machinery dealerships is just as likely to be providing items to small building firms on its Northamptonshire doorstep as it is to be shipping them across the globe.

Mawsley Machinery, on the Scaldwell Road Industrial Estate in Brixworth, specialises in new and used equipment for the construction industry – including telescopic handlers, dumper trucks, excavators, compaction  equipment and portable compressors.

Founded in 1981, the company has vast experience as a reliable dealer of well-known names in the construction industry such as Manitou, Ammann, Yanmar, Ausa, Compair and Stihl, supplying mainly to hire companies and building firms.

Managing Director Ian Wright said: “We sold over 750 machines in 2015 and have a client base that covers the whole of the UK, while our used equipment customers are all over the world, as far afield as South America and Australia.

“But what many people in this region maybe don’t realise is that we have a large local customer base so we are just as likely to be dealing with a local builder as a large international company. We don’t just supply forklift trucks and excavators but also mini-diggers, dumpers and horticultural equipment and tools.”

Mawsley Machinery has a modern well-equipped maintenance workshop on site, as well as a fleet of service vans and technicians that carry out maintenance and repairs at customers’ own sites. There is also a parts department where customers can order or pick up spares from the retail counter.

Jane Sheldon, Joint Managing Director, said: “Mawsley have been in business for 35 years and between Ian, myself and Product Support Director Keith Pearce we have 99 years’ experience here. We focus on developing and training our team so that they can pass on all that experience to customers, advising on what equipment is most suitable for the work they are doing and helping them make the right choices. If any customer wants to speak to our trained sales team about their requirements, we can arrange a meeting or visit.”
