WITHOUT realising it, consumers across the world are becoming familiar with the work of Sign of the Times as the Kettering company’s signage moves far and wide.

In the past year, the award-winning Telford Way firm has seen its work go up in New York, as well as a host of European countries including Germany, Holland and the Czech Republic. Just this month, a team was at the Shaare Zedek children’s hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel working with Acrylicize, one of our strategic partners, to install graphics and signage that give the new hospital a touch of colour and vibrancy.

Darren Roughton, Managing Director of Sign of the Times, said: “We do a lot of work on behalf of major multi-national companies, such as Barclays, Nationwide BS, Cummins Diesel and RIBA. Just recently we have been completing projects in New York for Rise, Barclays new initiative to provide co-working spaces in major cities, allowing companies to have a city base without the enormous overheads, or somewhere to use as a temporary base when they need to be in another city.

“It’s a new idea, and we’ve done work with a similar organisation in London, now it’s rolled out to New York and they’re planning more all round the world.”

Despite its global reach, Sign of the Times remains a busy local company and counts many Northamptonshire firms among its valued customers, producing anything from fascia signage to vehicle graphics or full rebranding campaigns.

Investments in state-of-the-art equipment include a large-format Arizona UV printer, a Tekcel CNC router and two large-format laser printers, allowing Sign of the Times to offer a comprehensive range of services to customers large and small.

Darren Roughton said: “We have a lot of customers right here in Northamptonshire, and then further afield throughout the UK, but the international market is also growing and that’s very exciting for us.”
