INVESTMENT in new equipment and training has kept Wellingborough firm Metal Craft Industries at the forefront of its sector, both at home and abroad.

The company specialises in stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium products for a range of clients, including food preparation, storage and merchandising and equipment.

With a catalogue of core products, as well as bespoke items that can be designed, developed and manufactured at its Patterson Road site, Metal Craft Industries prides itself on high quality backed up by excellent customer service.

Ron Snaith, Sales Executive, joined the team last year to focus on new opportunities in the marketplace, predominantly retail customers. Recent investment in new robotic press braking equipment, with a new state-of-the-art laser cutter about to be installed, has opened up new markets, increasing the firm’s ability to produce large-volume items more efficiently.

“The company has always believed that investment will lead to growth and generate more work and that has proved to be the case this time, too,” said Ron Snaith. “The robotic press braking equipment, like the lights-out laser cutter and punching machine has helped increase our capacity, particularly in producing high-volume items.

“The new laser will enhance that further and we believe that if you invest you will keep ahead of the market. We’re now looking for new opportunities in the UK, in Europe and in the United Arab Emirates, particularly Dubai, where British goods have an excellent reputation for quality, and we can certainly be a part of that.”

The design and development side of the business is as strong as ever, thanks in no small part to the ‘can-do’ attitude across the team, from helping a client resolve issues by coming up with workable solutions that fulfil a need that might not be met elsewhere.

“Metal Craft can supply from a catalogue, or we can come up with bespoke solutions, either developed from scratch or, where it’s applicable, adapted from one of our core products but to suit the needs of the customer,” said Ron Snaith.
