WITH geopolitical instability affecting global markets following Britain’s decision to leave the EU, the outlook for manufacturing and engineering is key to the UK’s future economic prosperity. MHA MacIntyre Hudson is running its fifth annual Manufacturing & Engineering Survey in conjunction with MHA and Lloyds Commercial Banking. The survey is the largest of its kind and the only one to focus on UK SME manufacturers. With previous surveys having garnered column inches and attracted attention from Business Innovation and Skills (formerly DTI), the survey provides in-depth insight and analysis and an excellent opportunity for people in the sector to make their voices heard. This year, commentary comes from two foremost sector leaders; Philippa Oldham from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and Professor Rajkumar Roy, Head of Manufacturing at Cranfield University, which partners with the likes of NASA, Rolls Royce, BAE Systems and Formula 1. Richard Powell, Partner at MHA MacIntyre Hudson said: “I urge people in the sector to share their views. The survey considers the fundamental key issues for the sector post-referendum, including business confidence, skills gaps, funding and sustainability. “Although none of us has access to a crystal ball, your views will help our specialist advisers gauge where the sector is and what can be done to support it through what may be an uncertain few years.” To receive a free copy of the survey report, take part now: bit.ly/29unZlZ Once the analysis is completed, you will receive the full report detailing the findings with case studies and commentary from industry experts.
