AFTER a brief settling-in period, it is onwards and upwards at Kettering firm Smith Hodge & Baxter, which has extended its service offering since joining forces with one of the UK’s leading business advisory firms.
Smith Hodge & Baxter became part of the Baldwins Group in February, and in so doing, widened its range of services to the benefit of clients.
Baldwins is part of the CogitalGroup, which has 4,700 people operating from 150 offices in seven countries, with revenue in excess of £320 million.
Smith, Hodge & Baxter employs 26 staff and serves more than 1,000 clients including companies, individuals, charities, trusts, academies and farmers.
The business is now trading as Smith Hodge & Baxter, part of the Baldwins Group.
As the Kettering firm prepares to celebrate its centenary in 2019, Director John Hatcher said: “This is an exciting new chapter in our history. It gives us and our clients the ability to access specialists within the group who can offer services such as corporate finance, national tax advice and forensic accounting which may be strategically helpful in the growth and development of their businesses.
