AS one of the oldest accountancy practices in Northamptonshire, Jervis & Partners has seen for itself over the years the benefits of businesses working together for the good of the local community and economy.
Founded in 1970, and with offices in Kingsthorpe, Rushden and Wellingborough, the firm has always focused on forging strong links with the community in which it started and grew, serving both private and business clients across the whole range of accountancy services.
Partner Michael Mead, who is based primarily at the Rushden office, said: "Throughout its history, the practice has had a reputation for service and reliability and we feel that is one of the most important factors in maintaining a strong presence in the local business community.
"We have three local offices from where we can really get to know our clients, their businesses and how they operate - and that is invaluable in making sure we are taking care of their needs.
"Since Neil Picton and I took over in 2009 we have embraced new and modern ways of doing things, but we have also been determined to carry on the Jervis & Partners reputation."
Jervis & Partners are also pleased to formally announce the recent merger with another independent local firm HMJT, established some 15 years ago and now headed by partners Nigel Thomas and Alan Johnson.
Neil Picton said: "We are all looking forward to the future and very excited at the opportunities that combining the two practices will bring. We are very similar in size and hope that the merger will open doors to a much wider range of clients across Northamptonshire, whilst continuing to provide the same quality and level of service to our clients."
Jervis & Partners specialises in accountancy, auditing, personal and corporate taxation, payroll and bookkeeping. Clients range from private clients and sole traders to multi-million pound businesses, and across a wide range of sectors including charities and non-profit making organisations.
