The art of creating a special display

IT’S important to find the right way to display precious items and the team at the Framing Centre in Northampton have got that down to a fine art.

For a special picture or photograph, there’s a range of stylish frames, and the Framing Centre staff can advise what frame suits your item best and how to mount the picture to greatest effect.

But it’s when the framed item isn’t so straightforward – maybe it’s an irregular shape, or it’s anything from a signed football shirt to a treasured family heirloom – that the Wellingborough Road shop provides the knowledge and expertise customers are looking for.

Kamal Ravaliya, owner of The Framing Centre, said: “We can provide frames in a wide range of sizes for people’s favourite pictures or pieces of art, and if we don’t have the size you’re looking for we can make a frame to order in our workshop.

“We also have limited edition prints and one-off pieces of art, a lot of which is already framed to reflect the artist’s ideas on how it should be presented, but most of the time we work with the customer to find or create a frame that suits them.”

There’s a wide range of accessories, mount colours and frames available. The workshop team prides itself on its reputation for high quality workmanship. Framing ideas and advice are available on The Framing Centre website, but it’s more often than not more valuable to drop in and discuss your needs with the team.

Completing the experience is the Hallmark card department within the Wellingborough Road store, which stocks a wide range of cards, gifts and wrapping paper – perfect for finishing off a framed picture or any gift.
