A boost for the environment

THE need to use renewable energy is ever-increasing and we witness more evidence of this in our everyday lives.  From the giant wind turbines that have risen around Northamptonshire through to solar panels that are becoming an ever-more common sight on homes and office buildings. As well as the environmental benefits there are significant cost savings to be had from solar panels (a PV array) on your building.

However, many people do not realise that they can also benefit from hot water completely free, with an exciting new product that is small, simple and can easily be installed alongside an existing PV system. Solar iBoost is a wireless system that releases surplus energy from a PV array installed on your building and uses it to heat up water in your tank, providing you with hot water completely free. The product has been developed by a company in Corby specialising in renewable energy and was showcased in June at one of the biggest renewable energy trade shows in Europe – InterSolar in Germany. One very important factor in promoting Solar iBoost was the development of a brand new website to demonstrate the product and explain how it works, and Northampton web design agency in.house.media were tasked with the job. Stuart James, from Marlec the company who developed Solar iBoost said: “Showcasing the product in Germany meant it was important to have a website available in multiple languages. We knew that people at the show would immediately visit the site so it was also crucial that it would work on mobile devices and we are really pleased with the result.” The site is fully updateable and also contains videos, downloads and a Google map to display the nearest installers in your area. “It was great to work on a website for a company right at the forefront of one of the most important technologies in the modern era,” said Gavin Hills from the Northampton based web design firm. “The site was built in the usual way but we also used a simple plug-in powered by Google to automatically interpret all the content on the site, meaning that visitors can easily just choose their preferred language to learn all the benefits it has to offer.” To view the website and find out more information about Solar iBoost, visit www.solariboost.co.uk Contact in.house.media on 01604 790007 or visit www.ihm.co.uk to find out how they can help your business online.
