A TEMPORARY driver recruitment company in Northampton is celebrating four years in business and the maintaining of a 100 per cent attendance rate, which means it has never had a driver not show up for work.
NN1 Personnel is run by husband and wife team Damian and Justyna Sodel who set up the company in 2015 after both working in logistics and finding themselves repeatedly being let down by other driver recruitment agencies and deciding there must be a better way.
Justyna said: “As we celebrate our fourth year in business, it has made us take stock and look back at everything we have achieved.
“We started in 2015 with no experience of recruitment or any contacts in that area but we knew transport and logistics and what companies needed when it came to temporary but reliable drivers. Now, we are repeatedly told that we are the best at what we do which makes us incredibly proud.”
The company has grown steadily in those four years, moving from a small office space to larger premises in October 2018. The number of drivers has increased by 98 per cent since 2017 and company turnover has increased ten-fold since 2015.
“People ask us what is the secret of your success,” said Damian. “It is simple – like other agencies, we carry our stringent checks on our drivers, looking at their licences, qualifications and paperwork but we also go with our gut feeling and instinct a lot of the time, too. Once a driver is on board with us, we treat them as an extension of our family. We get to know them personally and what is happening in their lives and try to meet their requirements in terms of location and shift pattern.
“Our drivers are our products and represent our business for us. We only work with the best drivers and listen to feedback from our clients to address any issues straightaway. Even though we have experienced significant growth, we have managed to keep the same culture and that has been key to our continued success.”
