A successful introduction to business finance

WITH Brexit now behind us (sort of), business can start to concentrate on growing in a new economic environment. Growth, however, often implies the need for additional finance. The challenge for many small business owners and SMEs these days is to know and understand which of the sources of finance, many of which have sprung up in recent years, is the best one to meet their needs.

This is why Business Finance Services Ltd (BFS) held the first of a new series of events at the end of January to offer SME owner/managers, and others, such as property developers, an opportunity to learn more about the various forms of finance that are available. Called Meet the Finance Professionals, this was a free event that took place in Green’s Restaurant at Collingtree Golf Course.

The concept was to gather together a number of finance providers, representing a wide range of different types of commercial finance, who could then talk in an informal atmosphere to business people about the services they could provide.

These services included everything from asset and invoice finance through trade finance and business loans, mortgages and even equity investment. Property development finance was also covered. The result was an event that positively buzzed with interest and constructive conversations.

Based on the positive feedback that BFS have had from both the SMEs and the finance providers who attended, the event appears to have been very successful.

As a result of the success of this first event, BFS is pleased to announce that the next event will be held at the same venue on 15th May 2020. Details and a registration link are on the website www.bufinserv.co.uk.

Any SME owners or property fevelopers who need, or may need, finance in the future are strongly advised to attend, and it goes without saying that accountants and other business professionals will also be welcome.
