A KETTERING company has been named Best New Business at the National Entrepreneur Awards, hosted by the Entrepreneurs Circle at the Hilton Metropole in December.
Having launched in April 2016 One Day Web builds websites, with video and photography, for business owners and entrepreneurs in a single day from their studio inviting the client to join them for a collaborative experience that sees the traditional method of website builds completely redundant.
One Day Web is run by Jamie Rae and Simon Langham, who went to school together then reconnected 11 years later through business, and found mutual success in the video production and web development sectors respectively until they formed One Day Web.
The Entrepreneurs Circle helps businesses all over the UK to grow beyond the norm, and the national awards are judged by one review panel to get to the finalists, and then another panel to select the winner. Over 200 entries were sent across eight categories, and One Day Web scooped the Best New Business among tough competition.
Jamie Rae said: “Our journey as a business over the first year was tough – a never before seen offering in the web marketplace meant it was a challenging sell as people simply thought it couldn’t be done, or that it was a gimmick or prank.”
Simon Langham added: “Our innovation came through identifying a massive pain point for many business owners, and realising we could strip the process down into a day, once you understand the key components of the usual website-build hold-ups.
“The principle behind One Day Web is to take something that typically takes months and put the right systems in place to get it done sooner. That, mixed with great customer service and the full support for your website has seen us grow.”
One Day Web’s unique placement in the market is attracting competitors, but the other just don’t quite seem to get it right.
“Many people think we’re in the website industry, but we’re not; we’re in the customer service industry,” said Jamie. “Happy clients are our lifeblood and without their desire for change in a dated industry, we couldn’t operate.
“Our company motto is Get It Done and we’re building our whole business on efficiency with an incredible team to support our vision.”
