Allowing pupils to flourish

DESCRIBED in the Good Schools Guide as an ‘extraordinary school’, Spratton Hall has developed an excellent approach to both academic work and an ability to allow pupils to flourish is all areas of life.

Set in 50 acres of beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, Spratton Hall is an independent preparatory day school for boys and girls aged four to 13 years.

Its academic results mean that Spratton Hall feeds many of the top independent schools in the area – priding itself on preparing children well for life in senior school.

The school aims to continually update its facilities and improve its resources. In the past three years, the original Hunter Hall has been completely redeveloped and refurbished with state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, electric auditorium raked seating, wonderful acoustics and sprung-floor stage; two new classrooms have been created and new playground equipment, including an ‘adventure trail’, have been added.

The school believes in nurturing talent in the arts in pupils from an early age, and encourages the development of creative and artistic skills and knowledge both through a well-structured programme of curriculum lessons in art, music, drama and dance, and through extra-curricular provision.

In addition, Spratton is geared up for excellence in sport, with a new sports dome, floodlit Astroturf hockey pitch, a large hardcourt area for netball and tennis, a smaller hardcourt area, and acres of sports fields which incorporate a full 400m running track, four astro cricket pitches, cricket nets, pavilions and scoreboards, a cross country circuit, and multiple rugby, football and cricket pitches.

Choosing the right school for your child is the most important decision you will make on their behalf.

Spratton Hall is holding an Open Morning on Friday 5 October from 10am to noon. All current, past and prospective parents and children are welcome.

Contact the Registrar, Sarah Church, on or 01604 847292 for more details, to register for the Open Morning or to arrange to visit the school at any other time.
