An exciting opportunity

BOSWORTH College is extremely proud that one of its January intake A-level students, Minh Quang Dang was invited to take part in a residential Chemistry Camp at the University of Cambridge.

Minh Quang took part in the 2016 Cambridge Chemistry Challenge and was one of the highest achievers, appearing in the top 0.76 per cent. In total 7,229 students entered the competition, which means Minh Quang made it into the top 55 and achieved the Roentgenium award (the highest award). This made him eligible for an invite to the camp – a truly outstanding achievement!

Indeed, his invite was sent by Dr Peter Wothers, on behalf of the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge Committee.

The Chemistry Camp is based at St. Catharine’s College and the University Chemical Laboratory and it is a tremendous opportunity for Minh Quang to meet other first-rate students and to hone his chemistry skills.?The camp will run?from 6pm on Friday 26?August to 12 noon on Monday 29?August.

Those attending the camp will also have the opportunity of arriving in Cambridge early on the Friday, checking in and spending some time looking round Cambridge if they wish. This is a truly exciting opportunity and the college can’t wait to hear all about it when Minh Quang returns for the autumn term.
