Beginning of a new era

IT’S the end of one era and the beginning of a new one at Chelton Brown as the lettings and sales company says farewell to a key member of staff and at the same time makes plans for the future.

Julie Bryan, who joined the firm nine years ago, retired as New Business Manager in the Northampton office at the end of last year. Julie’s position has been filled by Edward Chelton-Brown, son of Managing Director Sali Brown and previously Manager of the firm’s Daventry office.

Sali Brown said: “Firstly, I want to thank Julie for all her hard work over the years, she has been instrumental in many of the changes we’ve gone through during that time and has been a valued member of my team.

“However, it’s exciting for me that Edward is replacing her and we are looking forward now long-term to a time when I can step back from the business a little and know that he can take the family business forward.”

Julie Bryan said: “I joined Chelton Brown nine years ago on what was meant to be a temporary basis and I’ve been here ever since. I’ve seen a lot of changes, including the acquisition of Scott Pinkham, and the setting up of the sales division, and I’ll be sorry to go, but I am looking forward to having more time to relax and do the things I want to do.”

Edward Chelton-Brown added: “It’s a big step for me but I am very excited about the additional responsibility and the new challenges. I’m looking forward to meeting many new landlords and helping them build and develop their property portfolios.

“I’m sorry to leave Daventry, but I’ll be replaced by Georgina Stevenson, who joined Chelton Brown as an apprentice and has quickly worked her way up, gaining the qualifications she needed and becoming well-liked and respected by her colleagues, and I’m sure she will do a great job.”
