IT’S official, BTT is now 25 years old and Robert Bright and Shiv Passap, the two directors show no sign of stopping.
BTT was first set up by Robert’s father, Peter Bright, in 1995. In 2006, Peter decided to retire and pursue other interests so handed the reins over to Robert. When Robert took over the business, he changed its direction to extend the core offering to other solutions, which led him to meet Shiv Passap.
Shiv had been working on the network services side of telecoms for several years and Robert saw an opportunity to grow the business together by offering telephone systems and their associated applications in tandem with network services. Shiv swiftly became a director of the business.
Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength. Over the last 25 years, we have developed a niche in hospitality, healthcare (particularly hospitals), manufacturing and retail. Last year, the business grew by over 21 per cent!
Our focus is to not only keep businesses connected but help them thrive with the right technology so that they can grow, seamlessly. Our relationships with our customers is at the heart of our business. We take pride in knowing how our solutions have helped businesses grow and become more efficient.
That’s why we go to local networking groups, get involved in local events and sponsor business awards like SME Northamptonshire Business Awards. By building relationships with those in the area, we will hopefully be referred to like-minded businesses that want a communications partner, not just a product.
