LADIES in Northamptonshire saved a date in their November calendar for a charity luncheon at Kettering Park Hotel.
Guest speaker, Tricia Stewart, the driving force and inspiration behind the Calendar Girls gave an enlightening and humorous speech to over 130 ladies, while Steve Pateman, the man behind the story of Kinky Boots, was also in attendance, taking on the role of auctioneer for the day.
Both were on hand to personally sign copies of their recently published books.
The event, organised by Anstee & Co, Elsby & Co and Wilson Browne Solicitors, raised over £5,000 in support of three vital local charities: the Red Box Project Kettering, Northamptonshire Domestic Violence Service and Crazy Hats, plus an Indian charity that supports women who are affected by acid attacks.
