Chef in line for prestigious award

GREENS Restaurant at Collingtree Park Golf Club has announced that Seamus Bryans, who was recently appointed Head Chef, is a finalist for the Chef of the Year award at the 2019/20 Carlsberg UK Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards.

The highly-regarded awards are aimed at celebrating all that is great about local produce and drink, recognising excellence within the county’s food producers and dining venues and rewarding those who work so hard within the culinary sector.

Seamus Bryans joined Greens Restaurant at Collingtree Park Golf Club, a European Tour venue, in April and has being establishing himself by already delivering exceptional food.

He has previously worked at Northampton University as Head Chef and has won other awards including the Chalk Stream Trout award and Tilda Rice award.

Speaking after his nomination, Seamus said: “I am delighted to be nominated for such a prestigious award in the county. I have been working hard since joining Greens Restaurant and am currently choosing high-quality locally sourced food and suppliers to help me achieve my goals. My focus is on delivering stand-out plates of food which I hope will be appreciated not only throughout the county but also far and wide”.

In the build up to the ceremony in November, Greens Restaurant will be running a number of events to showcase Seamus’ cooking skills.

The next events are a Celebration of Mediterranean Flavours Night on 26 July and an Asian Spice Night on 30 August.
