Clean sweep for agent at awards

COMMERCIAL property agent Prop-Search has been named as star performer in the commercial property industry bible, Estates Gazette’s prestigious Deals 2018 awards.

Not only did the Northamptonshire firm win the company award for being the Most Active Agent in the County, but its Associate Director Samantha Jones was named as the Most Active Dealmaker for the fifth time in the past seven years.

It was once again Prop-Search’s dominance in the offices and industrial markets, supported by strong performances in the retail and investment sectors, which helped secure the Most Active Agent and Dealmaker titles for another year – having let, sold or acquired more commercial property than its rivals.

Simon Toseland, a Director of Prop-Search, said: “We are absolutely delighted that our consistently high performance across the board has delivered us these awards. They stand as testament to the quality of market knowledge and in-depth expertise we can offer clients.”

Commenting on having won the individual title, Samantha Jones said: “I am thrilled to have again secured this award at a time when stock levels are low; with a high proportion of stock being let or sold within just weeks of coming to the market.”

While the volume of deals that Prop-Search has concluded is important, the firm is also proud that it has been instrumental in securing some of the largest and high profile transactions of the past year. This includes the acquisition of a 96,969 square foot warehouse investment in Rushden for Aberdeen Asset Management; the pre-let of a 65,200 square foot trade park on Brackmills Industrial Estate in Northampton; the letting of a 121,500 square foot industrial HQ building in Wellingborough; and the freehold acquisition of a 34,500 square foot retail investment in Rushden on behalf of East Northamptonshire Council.

Simon Toseland added: “Prospects for the year ahead look increasingly positive, with occupier confidence on the increase and speculative new builds and refurbishments under way across the region. We look forward to building further on our market-leading position.”
