Commitment to wellbeing

A THIRD life-saving public access defibrillator has been installed in Rushden at the premises of RRE Electrical Services, the one-stop electrical and mechanical engineering company.

The decision to fit the defibrillator highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to the wellbeing of staff and the local community. This reputation, drawing on more than 30 years experiences, has been built by putting customer service and quality at the heart of the team’s work.

This success has been recognised with the company, based at Unit 4 on the town’s Sanders Lodge Industrial Estate, shortlisted in the finals for the Northamptonshire SME Awards for 2017 in two categories, Business Innovation and Employer of the Year.

Company spokesperson Jeanette Cuccia, said: “We take real pride in being able to provide a professional, reliable service to clients across a wide range of industrial and commercial sectors. All have one thing in common, the need to have access to a service that meets the highest professional standards.”

These standards are reflected in the company’s NICEIC Accreditation which demands approved contractors meet safety and competency levels and building regulations.

The company, through its dedicated teams of engineers and in-house workshop facilities, offers a wide range of services. These include machinery breakdown and repairs, installation of electrical supplies, lighting design and installation, motor rewinds, pump repairs, periodic inspections and control panel building.

The company, keen supporters of the British Heart Foundation, will now work with East Midlands Ambulance Service to ensure staff and other local businesses are trained in the use of the defibrillator. If a defibrillator is used and effective CPR is performed within three to five minutes of cardiac arrest, survival chances increase from six per cent to 74 per cent.

Anyone who has a defibrillator should make sure this is registered with the NHS by emailing The ambulance services, when they suspect a cardiac arrest, can check if a defibrillator is nearby and supply an access code to emergency callers.
