Double fun for charity

DURING May, 32 employees and their families from Wilson Browne Solicitors participated in the Cransley Hospice 5k Bubble Rush on a very sunny day.

Generously supported by the Partners at Wilson Browne, who donated entrance fees for all employees, the event at Wicksteed Park attracted over 1,500 participants who ran, danced or walked their way through the foamy coloured madness.

Employees raised their own sponsorship money to donate to the hospice. The total amount raised was a fantastic £1,072, which will be used to continue providing an outstanding quality of hospice care to the community.

Also, last month Tom Warrender and the Legal 500 recognised Commercial Team at Wilson Browne Solicitors hosted a charity clay pigeon shooting day to raise money for the Crazy Hats Breast Cancer Appeal.

The weather was excellent and, as the sun shone down, Tom bit the bullet and rifled through a welcome speech to all of the guests. The day of shooting was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and proved to be very competitive. The overall winner was Gilbert Harvey, Director at Budworth Hardcastle.

The generosity on the day, coupled with a generous donation from Wilson Browne raised £750 for the charity. Founder of the Crazy Hats Breast Cancer Appeal, Glennis Hooper, said: “I would like to thank everyone who took part and to all sponsors who have provided raffle prizes. We sincerely appreciate your support.”
