Enjoying the benefits of networking

WHATEVER stage your business might be at, it’s never too big or too small to enjoy the benefits of networking.

As the county’s economy improves, building work starts on large business parks and the industrial estates continue to thrive and attract new tenants – it’s more important than ever to keep the links between businesses strong.

In the 10 years since it was launched, The Business Club Northants has given hundreds of people from all kinds of businesses the chance to come together at meetings that are fun and relaxed but emphasise the importance of the old adage – people do business with people.

During its first 10 years the club has attracted everything from sole traders to FTSE 100 listed companies, all with the same aim – to build their businesses within the local economy and forge links that benefit both sides.

Mike Willis, CEO of The Business Club Northants, said: “There’s no way of quantifying the amount of business that has been done between members, but estimates suggest the amount of business created by the club in the past 10 years is well over £2million.

“It never fails to gives me satisfaction to see two people shaking hands at a meeting, having realised they can work together.

“It doesn’t matter what size business you are, you can benefit from networking. In addition, we offer sales training sessions, informative speakers, a database of fellow members and social events.”

Meanwhile, The Business Club Northants is growing consistently and several additional benefits have been recently introduced. The Business Club Bucks has recently been launched in Milton Keynes, while specialised training sessions and a Focus Group – a select group of members who produce new ideas for developing the club into the future – have also been added to the club’s offering.

The 10-year celebratory Gala Dinner Dance in support of Cransley Hospice is also coming up on Saturday 11 November at The Kettering Park Hotel and tickets costing £30pp can be ordered online at www.thebusinessclubnorthants.co.uk/futureevents For more information email or call 01604 529173.
