Firm celebrates five years in business

THE staff at NewGen IT, a company which specialises in offering outsourced IT support to businesses, has celebrated five years in business.

The company, which is based at The Stables in Irchester, marked the occasion with cake, balloons and giving away a hamper of technology goodies on their Facebook page.

Stephen Souch, Technical Director and founder of NewGen IT, said: “I set up NewGen IT to help people get the best out of modern technology. I understand it and have a passion for it and if I can help someone just that little bit, and make an impact, it makes me happy. At NewGen, we will always go out of our way to help people – it’s the ethos the company was founded on and it still fuels us today.”

During the last five years the company has gone from just Stephen working out of the dining room in his home, through a shared, serviced office in Wellingborough, to a team of four in its own 700 sq ft office in a converted stable in Irchester. Originally, the company only offered hardware procurement and IT support services, but as the business has grown, so has the number of services. The business now offers five key services – Support, Sales, Cabling and Audio Visual (AV), Internet, and VOIP phones.

“Reaching this milestone has to be my proudest moment of my life,” adds Stephen. “There is nothing better than watching a business grow day by day. Every so often, I like looking out over my desk to see my team working away knowing that I created a business that has had an impact on their life and that of my customers.

The company now plans to open offices in Bristol and Manchester and add to the team by recruiting additional staff.
