Firms gear up for awards entries

BUSINESSES across the county are hard at work on their entries for the 2019 Northamptonshire Business Awards.

The awards opened in February and feature two brand new awards categories for 2019 – Workplace Wellbeing Award and E-commerce Business of the Year.

Winners of the nine categories at the 2019 awards will receive £1,000 of marketing support from Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce and could go on to win the overall Business of the Year title which comes with a cash prize of £10,000.

Northamptonshire Chamber chief executive Paul Griffiths said: “We are thrilled to see that so many businesses of all shapes and sizes are working on their submissions for the awards.

“We have a diverse range of categories for businesses to enter and are excited to have two new categories this year. The Workplace Wellbeing Award recognises businesses that are demonstrating their commitment to the health and wellbeing of their employees. The E-Commerce Business of the Year title will go to the business that has delivered an outstanding online customer journey, showing responsiveness to customers’ needs, with the business results and growth to match.

“All our awards give businesses the chance to get wider recognition for their achievements and category winners may also have the chance to proceed to the regional and national finals of the British Chambers of Commerce Chamber Business Awards.”

The other awards categories are Best Use of Technology, High Growth Business of the Year, Employer of the Year, Customer Commitment Award, Exporter of the Year, Apprentice of the Year and Small Business of the Year.

This year’s awards are sponsored by J motion video productions, PCS Business Systems, Ellacotts, Virtual Sales Team, GPW Consulting Limited, Triad, HR Solutions, Goodwill Solutions CIC and the headline sponsor is Wilson Browne Solicitors.

The only sponsorship package which remains available is for the Exporter of the Year award.

The awards are open to all businesses in Northamptonshire and are free to enter until 10 May.
