Fundraising efforts are par for the course

JUNE saw the tenth Business Club Northants annual golf day – with the weather being kind to those who took part in the event.

Held at Wellingborough Golf Club, followed by a dinner and awards in the Harrowden Hall club house, the event raised £752 for the networking group’s chosen charity, Cransley Hospice.

Mike Willis, CEO of The Business Club Northants, said: “I would like to thank all of the members who sponsored prizes and to all of the members who attended the presentation dinner in the evening where the food was really excellent and everyone had a good time.

“Special thanks go to Martin Wall of Stanair and to Brian Kingston of DBFB who have supported and played in every event to date.

“Brian donated a fabulous tablet worth £475 to the charity auction, which raised a fantastic £752 for Cransley Hospice.

“Also, Louisa Bown from The Office Bee did a fantastic job in organising the event, which was probably the best golf day in our 10 years of staging them.”
