GRAPHICS Studio, 3DLABS, have recently celebrated their first year anniversary, having been founded in February of last year, and are delighted to share a number of successes that they have achieved in that time.
3DLABS, based in Northamptonshire, offer a range of services, including architectural and product visualisations, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) environments, 3D printing and animations to a number of clients in order to help communicate their concepts, designs, products or services to a wider audience.
Their ability to deliver high-quality, photorealistic visualisations for live projects gives the client a much greater understanding of how the finished space will feel. In cases such as their recent work on the Northampton Museum project, for which 3DLABS produced a VR tour alongside several interior visualisations, this gave the client excellent marketing materials to share with the public in order to generate interest and excitement for the upcoming reopening of the museum.
Also within the county, 3DLABS have recently produced architectural renders in order to promote the construction of a new McDonald’s Drive-Thru at Corby Southern Gateway, a new Macmillan Cancer Support Centre at Kettering General Hospital and a new primary school, nursery and community centre for a development in the north of Wellingborough, which was recently submitted for planning.
Further afield, 3DLABS worked alongside Newcastle University to create a full marketing package for The Catalyst, a highly anticipated building at the heart of a £350m sustainable urban development in the city centre. The package included a VR tour, website, brochure and supporting CGI imagery which were developed in order to promote the available office space and public access areas. Elsewhere, they recently delivered an animation for iQ Student Accommodation, London, showcasing the refurbishment works at their Shoreditch site, in order to market the new spaces and facilities to prospective students looking for University accommodation.
3DLABS are also able to offer a broad range of branding and marketing services. For example, last year they launched a brand-new website for GSSArchitecture, allowing clients to easily navigate their extensive project portfolio and range of services. This website was followed by the launch of the GSSVR app, which uses VR technology to provide a more engaging representation of a finished building design, in order to showcase some of the larger projects carried out by GSSArchitecture.
