FORWARD thinking students planning for life after their GCSEs are being encouraged to attend Northampton College’s Open Events.
The first of these events will take place on Wednesday, 8 November from 5pm to 7.30pm at the College’s Booth Lane and Lower Mounts campuses.
Principal Pat Brennan-Barrett said: “While our prospectus and website is packed with information and advice there really is no replacement for seeing Northampton College for yourself.
“Our Open Events are perfect for students doing their GCSEs who want to explore their options, access exciting new courses and apprenticeships, enjoy top class facilities and learn from tutors who have experience working in their field. Further education provides an excellent springboard into worthwhile careers and our study programme equips students with all they need to thrive and succeed.”
At November’s Open Events students will be able to have a tour, check out all our facilities, talk to tutors and even meet current students who can tell you first-hand what college life is all about. The college will also use the event as an opportunity to promote its new campaign hashtag – #StartYourStory.

“To promote the uniqueness of life at Northampton College we have launched a new social media campaign called #StartYourStory and are encouraging students, new as well as potential, to use this hashtag, share their tweets and posts and start their stories with us.”
Other Open Events scheduled for 2017 will take place on Saturday, 18 November from 10am to 1pm at both Booth Lane and Lower Mounts, and on Tuesday, 21 November, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at the Daventry Campus.
