Hit the headlines by learning the power of PR

BUSINESSES across Northamptonshire can discover the power of publicity thanks to a new PR Academy launched by an award-winning agency.

The OJ PR Academy, run by Orange Juice Communications, will reveal the tricks of the trade and give business owners and marketing managers invaluable insights into how to generate cost-effective publicity for their company.

The interactive workshops will be led by a team of former journalists with experience of working for both local and national newspapers as well as the BBC News website and local and national radio.

Oliver Jelley, managing director of Orange Juice Communications, said: “We know savvy business owners are always looking for cost-effective ways of increasing their brand awareness and we are passionate about the power of PR.

“A well-written press release, presented on a plate to a journalist, gives you the chance of getting in front of your target audience for a fraction of the cost of an expensive advertising campaign.

“These workshops will give you the basic skills you need to draft a PR strategy of your own and give you the confidence to send out stories which can see you hit the headlines in the publications that matter most to you.”

The first workshop, titled How To Master The Art of PR will be held at Orange Juice’s Brixworth base on Thursday, 2 November. The three-hour session will run from 9am to noon and will cost £50.
