Knowing what suits customers best

GETTING close to your 150th year of trading is a milestone for any business but Warwicks Menswear & Hirewear is a name that has been on the Northamptonshire scene since 1868.

The family business is now under the direction of its fifth generation – directors David and Neil Warwick – and is a strong as ever.

At its flagship store in Wellingborough, the company has expanded to just under 10,000 square feet, over two floors, of quality menswear and hirewear. The Weddings selection includes contemporary suits in blues and greys through to classic tails and tuxedos with a wide range of waistcoats. The expansion has resulted in more spacious fitting rooms and relaxed seating areas.

Alongside hirewear on the ground floor is men’s contemporary fashion with sought-after brands such as Fynch Hatton, Crew Clothing, Henri Lloyd, Superdry and Ben Sherman. Other customer favourites include Meyer, Seidensticker, Olymp, Remus and Loakes.

The suit department on the first floor stocks over 500 suits, from boys suits to fit age seven through to men’s sizes up to 56″ chest. The selection includes two or three-piece styles, in a vast selection of styles and fits, ideal for any occasions, from weddings and graduations to business.

If any adjustments are needed, all alterations are carried out by Warwicks’ own skilled in-house team to achieve the correct fit.

David Warwick said: “Our focus is the key retailing Ps: place, product, price and people. It’s proving a worthwhile formula. I think all this, plus good old fashioned customer service is what Warwicks excel at.”

As well as its flagship store in High Street, Wellingborough, Warwicks has added branches in Lower Street, Kettering and, opening in 2009, in Wellingborough Road, Northampton.
