AS it continues to build on its presence in Daventry, lettings and sales agency Chelton Brown has moved into new town centre premises to accommodate its growing team.
With its head office in Northampton, Chelton Brown expanded into Daventry over 10 years ago when it acquired a local agency. From its offices in Market Place, Chelton Brown has consolidated its position in the area and, last year, acquired Property Rental Services (PRS) making it the largest independent agency in the town.
At the beginning of this year, the Daventry team moved to 59 High Street, a Grade II listed building that, inside, offers the increased space the growing team needed.
Edward Chelton Brown, Director and Daventry Branch Manager, said: “We simply outgrew our existing premises. It became too cramped for the staff and there was nowhere private to meet our clients. We’re often discussing finances or confidential matters and it’s an important part of our customer service that people feel comfortable when they come into our offices.
“The new premises offer much more room, including private meeting rooms, and we’ve been able to start from scratch and configure things the way we need them.
“Also, in terms of location, we feel it’s better for us and better for the town centre. We’ve already picked up a number of walk-in enquiries that we may not otherwise have had and, similarly, we hope that we bring people to this part of the town centre to the benefit of other businesses around us. A busy, healthy high street with good footfall is important for everyone.”
Chelton Brown offers a complete lettings and sales service for tenants looking to rent and for landlords looking for new tenants, as well as property management and providing help and advice to landlords in identifying properties for sale to add to their portfolios.
The lettings division manages over 1,500 properties throughout the county, ranging from studio apartments to seven-bedroom listed mansions, and, in addition, has around 500 tenant-find only clients.
