Market across Northamptonshire hotting up

LAMBERT Smith Hampton (LSH) have seen an notable surge in activity in the industrial property market in Northamptonshire in the past few months. We have recently completed a number of deals across the county and have put a number of units under offer over the past few weeks. We have recently completed the letting of 1 Barn Way, Northampton, 12,428 sq ft to Burnetts Manufacturing on a long-term lease.

LAMBERT Smith Hampton (LSH) have seen an notable surge in activity in the industrial property market in Northamptonshire in the past few months. We have recently completed a number of deals across the county and have put a number of units under offer over the past few weeks. We have recently completed the letting of 1 Barn Way, Northampton, 12,428 sq ft to Burnetts Manufacturing on a long-term lease. The letting consolidates Burnett’s position at Lodge Farm Industrial Estate, and provides them with additional space aligned to their business strategy over the coming years. Staying on Lodge Farm Industrial Estate, we have also completed the letting of 20 Lodge Farm Trade Park to Plastics Express. We have recently commenced the marketing of Unit 17 at Lodge Farm Trade Park, 4,287 sq ft with joint agents Prop-Search, and have a number of parties interested in taking the unit. We have also seen strong demand for a number of properties in Brackmills and are currently under offer on a number of buildings. In Daventry, we have concluded a number of deals in the past month. We have completed the letting of 11 Low March to Arc Machines Inc, who were previously based on Heartlands Industrial Estate and have also finalised the letting of Unit 4, Alvis Way, to Turtle Engineering Ltd who specialise in CNC machinery. We are also currently under offer on a further 12 units in Daventry alone. In addition to the recent deals and properties that have been put under offer, we have been instructed on a number of units, including units at 9 Whittle Close and 37 Brunel Close on Drayton Fields Industrial Estate, both of which have gone under offer within two weeks of us being instructed. We have just been instructed to market 3 Royal Oak Court, an end of terrace 2,578 sq ft unit on Royal Oak Industrial Estate. The property has been refurbished and is available to rent immediately. In Wellingborough, we have seen strong interest for the units at Sanders Close on Finedon Road Industrial Estate. Unit 2 has recently been sold to Renmar Ltd, and we have put the remaining three units under offer. We have seen strong demand and activity for industrial property across the county and currently have a range of units in solicitor’s hands, and are acting for a number of clients acquiring premises.
