A POSITIVE start to Spring for TD Group with an eventful month to say the least. As well as our very busy day jobs recruiting UX designers, front end software developers, infrastructure analysts, head of software, product owners, finance business partners and more for our local and national clients, the following happened…
On the 3 March, Anthony Priest, Managing Director participated, with many other professional volunteers within the STEM sectors locally, in another well received inspirational event for schools organised by Gaia Innovation, this time at Sponne School, Towcester.
We celebrated International Women’s Day by winning a quiz hosted by the lovely people at Silverstone Park – Roz Bird and her team. Pictures were pinned on the notice board of 20 famous, influential women throughout the ages and we had to guess their names and why they were famous. The team had a lot of fun researching and learning about these women. Out of all the businesses who participated, we were joint winners with Tobias Knichel, Managing Director of PUNCH Flybrid and his team.
As a prize we were both presented with a book by Caroline Criado-Perez called Invisible Women. This is a such an insightful book and a good read for everyone.
This brings us to the 12 March. As members of the Silverstone Technology Cluster we attended The UK Space Sector: Insight & Opportunities event at Grant Thornton’s office in Milton Keynes. This was an informative morning hosted by the STC and six interesting speakers from the Open University, Lockheed Martin, UK Space Agency, Airbus, London Economics Ltd and Satellite Vu. This has been an interesting month and, to cap it all, Lewis Hamilton and Prince Harry officially opened the Silverstone Experience Centre as we watched. We love where we work, and as we continue into 2020, we look forward to adding value and being involved in more insightful, interesting and inspirational events.
