A PROPERTY company, which was only set up last year, has won a prestigious national property award. Lloyd Girardi and Andi Cooke of White Box Property Solutions Limited picked up the Deal of the Year 2014 Award for their housing development in St James, Northampton.

The pair, who set up their property investing and management company in July, won the creditable award from the well-established property education company, Progressive Property.

It was only at the beginning of 2014 that Lloyd and Andi started with one buy-to-let property each before setting up the company in July. They quickly grew the enterprise and by the end of the year owned 14 properties between them, with the predicted target of 37 by the end of 2015.

Their main success has come from the development that they are currently in the process of completing, 300 metres from the town’s new train station in St James. The deal was one of thousands up for nomination in the competition, but when it came down to the numbers and strategy, the duo’s approach came out on top.

The pair has used private investments and peer-to-peer lending to fund the build. They aim to rent out the eight town houses that are currently being built around May this year.

Following on from their success, the Northamptonshire-based company have secured their next plot of land, in Irthlingborough.

The pair are currently negotiating investments from sophisticated investors with a generous interest rate, especially compared to the banks, promising to create a superb return on investment. Work on the development is scheduled to start in the spring.

Along with their construction side of the business, the pair also create high-end shared houses and HMOs for working professionals in and around Northampton. This service offers excellent accommodation to people looking for room-only rental properties.
