Now, the name Brasserie 23 at The Kings Head is just as likely to pop up as a setting for parties, wedding receptions and family celebrations. Husband and wife team Danny and Natalie Tompkins took over the Spratton pub three years ago, transforming it into one of the counties newest and most exciting eateries. Within months of their arrival, Brasserie 23 was nominated for Food Pub of the Year in the Carlsberg Food and Drink Awards, following that up the following year by winning the Restaurant of the Year title at the same awards. Danny and Natalie are now co-owners, and are looking to build on the success of their first three years at the helm. Natalie said: “We are delighted with how the first three years have gone. We’ve focused on good food, which has all been made on the premises with fresh, locally sourced produce, and that has paid off. We have been told our Sunday lunches are among the best in the county! “But there’s so much more on offer, including the coffee shop, the traditional pub bar and the brasserie, and now we want to let people know that we’re an excellent venue for all kinds of occasions, from birthday parties and family events such as anniversary parties and christenings, through to wedding receptions. “There are various options available, including the stylish coffee shop, which turns into a chic and elegant evening room, and our newly refurbished ‘Crown’ function room which provides a sophisticated and intimate setting.” The team at Brasserie 23 at The Kings Head can help organisers plan their occasion.
