Providing a broad based education

THE ethos at Quinton House School, of combining excellent learning opportunities with a focus on children’s development into confident and fully-rounded adults, will continue unchanged says its new Headmaster.

The beginning of this term has seen the arrival of Tim Hoyle, just a term after Matt Capuano joined as Head of Juniors.

Their arrival, combined with the excellent GCSE examination results in August, sees Quinton House ready to move onwards and upwards.

Tim Hoyle was previously Headmaster of Huddersfield Grammar School, which is, like Quinton House, part of the Cognita Group of schools.

Mr Hoyle said; “I am aware that Quinton House is a lovely school in a beautiful setting with an excellent community feel. I feel that during my time there, Huddersfield Grammar had grown not only in pupil numbers but also into a thriving school with a solid future. I was excited by the opportunity presented to join Quinton House and I look forward to a time of exciting progress working alongside the existing dedicated staff team.”

Quinton House School prides itself on providing a broad-based education that puts not just an emphasis on high educational standards and academic achievement, but also offers the extra-curricular activities that help the children develop in all kinds of way outside of the classroom.

“We are now looking to increase the societies and clubs that are run by the school, from Lego clubs for the younger pupils through to a Debating Society and Science and Technology clubs for those with an interest in that field,” said Tim Hoyle. “It’s also important that we get out into the local community, and we are planning a number of charity events, as well as a Carol Service at All Saints Church in Northampton in December.

“Quinton House has so much to offer and we would invite parents to come along to see our refurbished Junior School and sample the positive and purposeful atmosphere throughout the school. Every day is an open day offering the opportunity for an informal private tour that gives prospective parents an opportunity to come in at any time to see the school in action on a typical day.”
