IT'S time to delve into your drawers and cupboards to find those unused working or broken mobile phones and turn into cash through a new service from Repair Not Replace.
The Phone Paramedics, who undertake repairs on the road outside your home or work premises, have now launched a recycling service.
The team can buy from any customer any unused mobile phone working or broken.
Director Mark Jones said: "We can collect, or our customers can request a special box that they can post in a normal post box free of charge to us. This helps to turn unused mobile phones back into working ones, as we fully refurbish them and offer a 12-month, 'we come to you' warranty.
"This is better for the planet to reuse and recycle as well as great for your pocket as you get cash for a phone that could be lying around in a drawer. Our service is also great for people on a sim-only contract. They can buy a refurbished phone which is a more cost-effective way to upgrade their phone and helps the environment in the process and still get the benefit of a 12-month warranty."
The recycling service is running alongside the repair business, which is continuing to grow across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes. They can come out for one phone or tablet or multiple, with easy and transparent online bookings and cover. Business customers can arrange to pay on account and there is a 12-month warranty with no fix no fee.
"Our new recycling service has been an instant hit with customers, turning unused phones both broken and working into cash, with a free, no hassle doorstep collection or an easy freepost pack," said Mark.
"The resources needed to make a mobile phone are enormous for the environment and the more mobile phones we can get back into circulation and used is such a huge help for the environment as well as being great for your pocket. We can collect one mobile phone or tablet or multiple. We test, wipe and refurbish the phones. Our wiping software complies with GDPR."
