All material for shredding is collected under tight security and destroyed in accordance with BSEN15713:2009, but even so, Box-it found that some clients preferred to know that sensitive documents could be destroyed immediately without leaving their site.
Box-it’s on-site shredding service to offices throughout the region is aimed at regular scheduled visits where Box-it installs locked, secure consoles where documents can be posted, meaning that confidential information is protected immediately it is discarded. Box-it’s shredding lorry will then visit at agreed intervals and the material is shredded on site. From there, it is taken to be recycled. The on-site service is not restricted to the scheduled service, however, it can cater for one-off clear outs, too.
“It offers clients a little bit more peace of mind – they can go out and watch the documents being shredded if they want to,” said Edward Smith.
