State-of-the-art office nears completion

QUANTITY surveyors, project managers and employer’s agent, Gotch Saunders and Surridge LLP (GSSllp), in Kettering, are currently employed as employer’s agent and quantity wurveyor for the delivery of a new state-of-the-art commercial office building in Central Milton Keynes, which is nearing completion.

The office and retail development, located on Avebury Boulevard, will provide eight floors of contemporary space designed to sit comfortably within the city centre context, utilising high quality materials.

Once complete, the building will be the newest and largest speculative office development in Milton Keynes for 10 years. The building also boasts its own integral multi-storey car park. The design of the building prioritises comfort and wellbeing with the aim of creating a ‘home from home’ environment for all staff with everything located under one roof.

National law firm Shoosmiths and IWG SPACES are just some of the confirmed tenants of 100 Avebury Boulevard, which is set to become a landmark office building in Central Milton Keynes, offering 140,000 square feet of Grade A office space constructed to the highest standards and specifications.

In addition to the Avebury Boulevard development GSS are also involved with numerous other local schemes including the restoration and refurbishment of The Hind Hotel in Wellingborough, new build retail units and commercial centre at Corby Southern Gateway and works at Uppingham Community College to improve their Special Educational Needs facilities, which will include a new drama studio.

GSSllp also have a long history with Kettering General Hospital, and so far this year has completed three projects as quantity surveyors for the Trust. These projects include extensions and alterations to the Frank Radcliffe Fracture Clinic, the relocation of the Dermatology unit to Prospect House and most recently Phase 2 of the works to the new Maxillo-Facial Unit at the Hospital which provide much improved office and staff welfare facilities for those working within the unit.

This includes the complex heritage refurbishment and restoration of a Grade II* listed hotel that is partially funded using Heritage Lottery Funding.
