THE Harris and Co backed team has finished in runners-up spot in Category 1 of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship
The final round was the Trackrod Rally, based in the Dalby forest complex in Yorkshire.
Phil Harris explained: “We went into the rally knowing that we need a strong result to secure the runners up spot in Category 1 in the Championship. It’s a tough event, running through Friday night and then the Saturday too.
“Despite some pretty punishing tracks, the car ran flawlessly through the rally. The only issue we had was a puncture on stage 3. We ran well and finished with a strong result so we clinched the runners up spot in Category 1 in the Championship.
“I’m thrilled with the result! It’s so tough on the Harris & Co backed Mini and the season’s results are a testament to the fantastic job that RSR Historic Engineering do in preparing it.
