Customers at the Northampton showroom of Bristol Street Motors Peugeot have been keen to be the first to test drive the stylish GT model.

The sporty looking GT comes in a choice of hatchback and SW body styles and builds on the success of the 308 combining striking good looks with remarkable energy efficiency, high fuel economy and ultra-low emissions.

Mark Tottem, the dealership’s business sales specialist, said: “The GT is a fantastic car. It appeals to people who want to drive something which looks stylish yet still does the job.

“A lot of thought has gone into the design while its fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions will still tick the boxes for businesses.”

The GT includes top-of-the-range headlights made up of 62 LEDs, alloy wheels and twin exhaust pipes. The range of colours includes the new and exclusive Magnetic Blue which until now has been historically reserved for French competition vehicles.

The 308 range’s standard-fit compact steering wheel is at the heart of the Peugeot i-Cockpit. A Driver Sport Pack, which can be turned off, is also part of the GT’s standard package. This includes radar built into the front of the vehicle linked to an emergency collision alert and braking system while the dynamic cruise control automatically maintains and adjusts the speed of the vehicle to match the speed of the vehicle ahead.

Businesses looking to make the most of their tax allowances will appreciate the range which has impressively low CO2 emissions starting from only 103 C02 g/km . The models include the GT 205 with 1.6 litre THP Stop&Start engine and six speed manual gearbox and the GT 180 with 2.0 litre BlueHDi 180 engine and EAT6 six-speed automatic gearbox.

Mark said: “We have already had a lot of interest in the 308. The GT model only arrived at the dealership in mid-January and we have already had businesses taking a decision to buy.”
