Founded in 2003 by current Managing Director Duncan Hamilton, the company has supplied hundreds of machines to an array of industry sectors such as medical, injection moulders, sporting goods, containers, automotive, electronic, glass/ceramics, cosmetics, toys and business gifts, who utilise this technology to print on items such as washing machine and shower facias, golf balls, pens, mobile phones and computer keyboards.
Since its inception, Pad Print UK has seen year-on-year growth and the current factory was purchased in 2013. The new factory, with increased warehouse space, has helped push Pad Print UK to become the number one UK distributor for German manufactured Marabu printing Inks and BASF and TORAY printing plates, all off which are stocked and delivered direct from the warehouse along with all other associated products.
The company’s vast knowledge of the process and products, as well as commitment to continuous improvement and most importantly high customer service standards have been key to the success and growth of the business. Visitors to the Wellingborough site can see demonstrations of the machinery in the showroom as well as the plate and ink mixing process in the dedicated plate processing room and printing lab, which uses up-to-date processing equipment.
Duncan, who works with General Manager Jason Morgan, who joined the team in 2007, said: “We have high expectations and many of our clients are looking for us to deliver bespoke projects to support their business. No two enquiries are the same and many of the projects are new and yet to be brought to market.”
Alongside Duncan and Jason are five other team members: Company Secretary Sue Blagburn; Ink/Service Technician Tony Borromeo, who is the longest serving employee with 15 years’ service; Sales Administrator Faith Bierton; in the warehouse, Lee Harvey, who is responsible for goods in/out; and Harrison Brown, recently employed as plate room operative.
