Taking to the national stage

AFTER the excitement of the glittering awards dinner, the winners of the SME Northamptonshire Business Awards on October 25 could face another moment in the spotlight at the SME National Final.

Winners chosen from selected categories will go forward to next year’s national final – an opportunity to shine among award winners from across the UK.

Among those companies in this year’s National Final, to be held at Wembley on 7 December, will be The Business Club Northants, Warner Edwards, Gardenlines and Neptunus.

Vying for the Not for Profit Business of the Year with organisations from across the country will be Teamwork Trust, a Northamptonshire charity that works with and supports adults with mental health needs, learning and physical disabilities.

John Bruce, Strategic Director for Teamwork Trust, said: “It has been quite a year for Teamwork Trust as we continue our rapid growth, despite operating in really difficult circumstances where our funding is constantly changing.

“The judges recognising our business success is fantastic and a real boost for our staff, volunteers and members who continually strive to improve the rights of those who are vulnerable in our communities. We were all proud to win the award last time and are looking forward to this year’s national awards in December.”

A further chance to shine on the national stage comes with the National Business Women’s Final. Four local businesses will be in line for awards this year – The Office Genie in the Service Excellence category; Ausra Uzukauskaite of Amber Properties and Amber Renovations and Robyn Allen from Robyn Allen Solutions in the Young Business Woman category; and IMC Pro Solutions in the Best New Business Category.

Event organiser Damian Cummins said: “Winning awards is a massive boost for any company, and moving on to a national stage, even if you’re just shortlisted, provides a further opportunity to promote your business and shout about your achievements.

“The winners that go through from this year’s Northamptonshire awards can look forward to invaluable recognition on a national scale.”
