The immense value of networking

THE contribution from SMEs is so valuable to the economy of the UK and is continuing to grow, with many new businesses opening up every month.

The leap of faith taken by individuals to give up a regular pay cheque and to start a new venture is enormous and when they realise what they have done, they often look around for support. This is where business networking is so important for many reasons, because when attending a meeting they can relate to others who have ‘leapt’ themselves and also talk to owners of long-established and successful businesses and they no longer feel alone.

Mike Willis, CEO of The Business Club Northants, said: “We are immensely proud of how we have helped and supported so many different types of businesses during the last 12 years of our existence. It is great to watch small companies expand and develop by using our networking meetings to form strategic alliances and to get extra business through their membership.

“We explain to our guest visitors that we named it The Business Club because we are all there to create new business opportunities and our inclusive training on networking, sales, marketing and business planning really helps to increase their chances of success.

“We emphasise working together and to use and to recommend our member’s services whenever suitable, thereby creating a lot of extra business for many local companies.”

You can network over dinner at a choice of three different meetings every month for a guest fee of £15 and can book at www.thebusinessclubnorthants.co.uk
